The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Ukraine has said Russia has not noticed that its terror in Crimea will not defeat the Crimean Tatars.
"Dear Russia, why do you persecute the Crimean Tatars? Are you that scared of the freedom of thought of those people that you have not noticed that your terror will not defeat them? 'The fire-hard ones, no flame can scathe them.' ([Ukrainian poet Taras] Shevchenko). Crimea is Ukraine," the Embassy wrote on Twitter on March 27, 2019.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Russian law enforcers in illegally occupied Crimea on March 27 conducted massive searches in homes of 25 Crimean Tatars, having taken a number of detainees to the FSB office in Simferopol.
The FSB press service claimed the searches were part of the investigation into the Hizb ut Tahrir organization, which is outlawed in Russia.
Russian law enforcers later reported on the detention of 22 individuals.
