Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers has approved the State Program for the Development of the Ukrainian Carpathian Region in 2020-2022.

The relevant decision was made at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Sunday, October 20, according to the Ukrainian government portal.

"The program is aimed at improving the social and economic development of the Ukrainian Carpathians, increasing transport accessibility in certain mountainous areas, and includes a wide range of issues: building roads, creating new jobs, developing tourism in the Carpathians, located, in particular, in Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv and Chernivtsi regions," reads the statement.
