National Anti-сorruption Bureau (NABU) will be probing into possible abuse of power by Roman Truba, the recently dismissed ex-director of the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI).

Authorized NABU officials were obliged to launch criminal proceedings by the High Anti-Corruption Court, reports Ihor Holovan, a lawyer representing ex-president Petro Poroshenko in SBI cases targeting his client.

The files posted by Holovan indicate that the pre-trial investigation into Roman Truba launched on December 19, 2019.

An extract from the unified register of pre-trial investigations says NABU is probing Truba's possible unlawful influence on SBI detectives for the sake of own undue benefits.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on December 27, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky dismissed Truba from top SBI post.
