“Earlier this morning, Svetlana Ageyeva and I arrived by train to Kharkiv, from there we went straight to Starobelsk by car. Here, Corporal Viktor Ageyev is being held in a pre-trial detention facility,” Pavel Kanygin wrote.
“We went inside, where everything went down according to the protocol. Svetlana Viktorovna wrote an appeal for a visit, after which the meeting was held. First, the mother saw her son in the presence of reporters, including those from foreign media, and now Svetlana Ageyeva is talking to her son in private. That is, promises have been fulfilled,” the journalist added.
He also said that the mother was allowed to leave a parcel with some sweets and clothes for Viktor Ageyev, who Kanygin says looks good, but “it shows that he is very worried.”
