The number of COVID-19 coronavirus cases registered in the Armed Forces of Ukraine was 45 as of the morning of May 2.

"As of 07:00 Kyiv time on May 2, some 45 cases of acute respiratory illness COVID-19 caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus were registered in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. A total of 30 recoveries and two fatalities have been recorded over the pandemic period," according to the press service of the Medical Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Some 299 servicemen are now isolated (including self-isolation). The number of those whose isolation term is expiring in the next three days is 28 people.
In particular, a serviceman from Kharkiv region has tested positive for the coronavirus. Now, his condition is satisfactory, and he is being treated at home under medical supervision.
As UNIAN reported earlier, according to the Public Health Center, there were 11,411 laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ukraine as of 09:00 Kyiv time on May 2. Of them, 279 were lethal cases, 1,498 patients have recovered. Some 550 new cases were recorded in the past day.
