Ukraine has reported two enemy provocations on Tuesday, August 11, as Russia's hybrid military forces violated the newly-agreed truce in Donbas, eastern Ukraine.

"On August 11, two ceasefire violations by the Russian Federation's armed formations were recorded in the areas of responsibility of our units," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation (JFO) said in a Facebook update as of 07:00 Kyiv time on August 12, 2020.

In particular, random shots from an under-barrel grenade launcher were heard near the town of Maryinka, while the enemy opened fire from rifles near the village of Shyrokyne.

As was the case in previous days, the shots were provocative, so the Ukrainian military did not return fire.

No Ukrainian army casualties were reported over the past day.

Since Wednesday midnight, enemy troops have opened fire using small arms to stage an act of provocation near Maryinka. The Ukrainian Armed Forces did not fire back.

"The Joint Forces are abiding by the ceasefire, being ready to adequately respond to possible attacks by the adversary," it said.

The situation is under full control of the Ukrainian military, it said.
