The number of confirmed coronavirus (COVID-19) cases worldwide has increased to 1,348,184.

The data as of 08:23 a.m. local time on April 7 was provided by the Coronavirus COVID-19 Global Cases dashboard by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University.

The top five countries with the highest number of confirmed cases were the United States with 368,376 cases, Spain with 136,675, Italy with 132,547, Germany with 103,375, and France with 98,984.

The total deaths stood at 74,816. The highest death tolls were reported in Italy (16,523 people), Spain (13,341), the United States (10,989), France (8,911), the United Kingdom (5,373), and Iran (3,739).

Some 284,802 COVID-19 patients have already recovered.

As many as 184 countries have been affected by the virus.
