As UNIAN reported earlier, a group of French MPs visited the annexed Crimea on July 24-25. The trip had not been agreed with the Ukrainian side. France's Foreign Ministry then announced that the visit was a violation of international law.

Ukraine's Foreign Ministry asked the Ukrainian agencies concerned to ban the entry into Ukraine for the French MPs who had visited Crimea.

Following the example of their French counterparts, German lawmakers from the left-wing Die Linke party and several Italian MPs from the populist and anti-establishment Five Star Movement also expressed their wish to visit the annexed Crimea.
