As many as 13,556,202 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases had been reported as of 08:34 on July 16, according to the Coronavirus COVID-19 Global Cases dashboard by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University.

The overall death toll is 584,139 people, while 7,559,457 coronavirus patients have already recovered.

The highest death toll was recorded in the United States (137,419 people), Brazil (75,366), the United Kingdom (45,138), Mexico (39,906), Italy (34,997), and France (30,123).

The countries most affected by the coronavirus pandemic include the United States (3,499,291 confirmed cases), Brazil (1,966,748), India (968,857), Russia (745,197), Peru (337,751), Chile (321,205), Mexico (317,635), South Africa (311,049), the United Kingdom (293,469), Iran (264,561), Pakistan (257,914), Spain (257,494), and Italy (243,506).

As many as 188 countries have been affected by the virus.
