Footage showing the destruction of the Russian Pantsir air defense system in Syria has been spread in the media.

"Footage of the #Pantsir #S1 (SA-22) air defense system that was shot down by Turkish armed #UAVs in #Seraqip on the night of 03MAR2020 while its radar was active," Clash Report wrote on Twitter, posting the relevant footage.

Thermal camera traces on the side of the battery indicate the system was engaging against Turkish aircraft.

As UNIAN reported earlier, at least 33 Turkish soldiers were killed in an air raid by Syrian government forces in the northwestern Idlib province on February 27.

In retaliation move, Turkey bombed Assad's forces in Idlib, as well as enemy headquarters and ammunition depots.

At the same time, a UN investigation into atrocities committed in Syria for the first time accused Russia of direct involvement in war crimes for indiscriminate bombing of civilian areas.
